This is the perfect craft if you have any left over wood from other projects.
When we moved into our house there was a large volume of wooden planks under our decking from the previous owner. Wooden remnants can be picked up fairly cheaply- keep an eye out on Facebook marketplace often people selling offcuts.
Directions:
Carefully saw planks down to size desired for your pattern. I used an electric sander to clean and clear the surface of any rough edges.
On this design I used a Dremel to carve out the word Love. I then used an Acrylic Primer before adding the white acrylic paint to the engraved lettering.
I finished off this piece with a coat of finishing wax and then chose 4 brass hooks- ready to hang in someone’s home!
