One of my first Needle Felt creations. Made this as a gift for a very good friend of mine- so much fun to do!!
You can find hundreds of YouTube tutorials on how to create Needle Felt animal creations or you can pick up kits online or in craft stores which are great for beginners.
Tools you would need to make your own:
- Needle Felt Needle, ( I use a leather finger guard for safety)
- Off-White, Pale Yellow, Orange, Brown and Black Felt,
- Craft Wire
- Toy Filler
- LOTS OF PATIENCE
I’m not sure my little giraffe is anatomically correct as I did it without a pattern or instructions.
I created a twisted craft-wire frame first and then added toy filling around the frame. I then built up the colours, largely cream and pale yellow at first until I had the rough shape and then added the iconic spots over the top and little black dots for the eyes.
