This is an easy crochet project- perfect for beginners- (which I was when I started making these).

Tools you would need to make your own:
- Crochet hook (5mm)
- Acrylic yarn – colour of your choice
- Darning needle
Directions:
- Slip knot onto your crochet hook
- chain 18 (make this less or more depending on how wide you want your headband to be)
- Use single crochet for 18 and chain 1 until the length of project fits comfortably around your head
- Cast off and thread in first end with darning needle
- To make the criss cross twist on the front: Fold the two ends in half, in same direction, interlock the two folded halves. Use second end to sew these two halves together. Push together the two loops that are formed and see this with darning needle and thread in end. Turn other way out and be amazed by the gorgeous, quirky twist.
- Job done ☺️

There are loads of ways to make these gorgeous headbands even more pretty- you could add beads or buttons, you could use multiple colours of yarn or just add a contrasting colour trim round the outside.
