DIY MAKEUP COTTON PADS

Eco Friendly Makeup Remover Pads

Loads of scrap fabric that you cannot think of a use for??? Look no further- these cotton reusable makeup remover pads are fantastic for the environment and also a really cute addition to a dressing table.

What you would need to make your own:

  • Cotton fabric- fat quarters or cotton scraps are ideal
  • Terry Towelling – could you old towels or flannels or you could try micro fibre or bamboo fabric
  • Sewing machine – could be sewn by hand but much quicker and firmer stitch on the machine
  • Thread
  • Scissors
  • Template to draw round- I used a washed out jar of lemon curd 🍋
  • A fabric marker that can be easily removed

Directions:

  • Using your template draw circles onto your cotton and terry towelling fabric and cute out.
  • If you want to add the handles cut out the shape from your cotton fabric 1inch x 3.5inch. Fold in the handle fabric along the lengths 5mm and sew- then cut off the corners and fold down the ends and sew.
  • Using a straight stitch sew together the two circles wrong sides together and add the handle with a straight stitch on the patter side.
  • Then use a zig zag stitch or an overlocker to seal the outside of the project.
  • So easy and can produce beautiful and very practical results.
  • Experiment with different colours and patterns and just have fun with it!!! 💚💚💚💚
